In many respects this notorious bestseller reads like it was written by a teenage boy – how about using your newly acquired overseas VA to harass your boss in a funny accent? But where this book really makes it mark is giving us a new definition of wealth: The “New Rich” focus on happiness, enjoyment and fulfillment in the now, whereas “Deferrers” climb the corporate ladder, collect status symbols and wait to retire (or die). Skim-read the technical information sections on running an online business – and if you truly love your job or your office is a "home away from home" then this book isn’t for you. But despite it’s many arguable flaws, this book is essential reading – both a riveting page-turner and a wake-up call to a whole new way of looking at your world. Read simply to inspire yourself or recommend to your clients to jolt them into action.

Ah Emma, what a lovely book review that inspires us coaches to read the book which you say is a riveting read, inspirational, a call to action, and a whole new way of looking at the world.

I agree its happiness, enjoyment and fulfilment “in the now” that is most important for all of us, yet so many get either stuck or stuck on a treadmill, and in terms of running a business then its about purpose!

Yes, money is a resource and an enabler! It is not the be all and end all of life and striving to acquire too much of it can lead to stress, burn out and ill health.

I love my purpose, I love making a difference to others to help them to move forward with their lives, to form new worthwhile habits and to create purposeful businesses and to join “the new rich”. There is poem of sandscrit I always quote: Look to this day, for it is life, the very life of life, in its brief course lay all the truths and realities of existence, the joy of growth, the spleandour of action, the glory of power, for yesterday is but a memory, and tomorrow only a vision, but today WELL LIVED makes every yesterday a memory of HAPPINESS and every tomorrow a VISION OF HOPE. Look well to this day (I add: whatever it may bring). We should all read inspirational books like these, they may just change our lives!

I have also read this book and found speed reading techniques, using a VA and allocating specific times only to email great time saving tips!

This review has reminded me that I really need to read this book, I have seen it highly recommended elsewhere too. It is great to see comments from others who have read the book too and can testify to the merits of buying it. Aly
