Do you have the X-Factor? by Debbie Robinson

In todays world coaches need to rely on their personal impact more than ever to win contracts, get hired and keep their clients.

Your communication style can impact on your success. It’s not what you say; it’s how you communicate that really matters.

As the saying goes “People will forget what you did, they will forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” Maya Angelou

We all know that people buy from people that they like and trust. Having that extra something helps you impress clients and colleagues and be more successful.

Everyone wants to have the charisma to WOW clients and audiences. Now you can achieve it and have the extra edge you need to stand out from the crowd.

How good are your communication skills right now? Good, excellent? Regretably, many people think their skills are much better than they actually are and this stops them in investing in getting better. When you consider how good communication is, it is vital that we strive to be the best we can be in order to succeed.

So what is the difference that makes the difference?

If people want information about your product or service, send them an email or a marketing pack. If they ask to meet you, you must bring the information about your product or service to life or you may just as well of sent them that marketing pack!

Perception creates our reality and determines our success. What we think affects what we feel and ultimately how we behave. If someone asks to meet you they don’t want dry facts and figures they want to experience being with you. They want to experience your ability to communicate your knowledge in an effective and engaging way, you capability to emotionally connect and apply your knowledge effectively and intuitively in any given situation.

So how can you communicate in a more effective and engaging way?

Every time you communicate with someone you effectively ask yourself two questions,’ What do I want this person to know?’ and ‘What do I want them to do?
