How do you feel about yourself? A failure or a success? by John Dyter

In today’s busy non-stop, have to have it yesterday world we can sometime feel as if we are not successful enough, have not achieved what we want to achieve and start to doubt ourselves.

The following check list will help you decide if you are a certified failure!

It will also give you an example of how coaching can offer you new ways of seeing things and thinking about things.

  • Do you feel like a failure?
  • Does feeling like a failure mean that you are a failure?
  • Can you learn without failing?
  • Does failing at something you do, make you a failure as a person?
  • Can you think of anyone who has never failed at anything?
  • Did you try and fail?

If you have tried and failed (i.e. the outcome was not what you expected) does that mean …

  • You have tried and failed at something or
  • Does that mean you’re a failure as a person?
  • Aren’t you successful rather than a failure?

As Sir Winston Churchill put it:

“Success is going from failure to failure without loss in enthusiasm.”

I really appreciated the Winston Chruchill quote. It puts failure in the right context.

it depends what you measure it against and what you find important.

i love making cakes and home life and long may my buns rise ! so i feel great and am promoting myself to domestic diva. i just happen to be a successful career person and have a chilled lifestyle and that is enough for me

I’ve been going through this phase of reevaluating my life choices, and I always end up asking, whoever made the rules of what is successful and what is failure in the first place?
