Unless you are one of those lucky people who love your job, then changing career can be a daunting challenge. If you have heard yourself say: “I must get out of here”, “I hate my job, I’m stuck-in-a-rut”, or “I’d like to find a more satisfying job, but I don’t know what I’m good at”, then you maybe at a career crisis point.

My name is Dave Padgen and I am a mountaineer with a difference – I was born with Cerebral Palsy. I can do the same things as the next person, the next mountaineer, the next adventurer, just sometimes not in quite the same way.

Roles become redundant, not people. I have experienced seven mergers and 2 redundancies but I’m still here and now I run my own business – a role I have no intention of making redundant (although I may one day choose to retire with a house in the country near the coast).
